Why and when are some services being suspended?

We are making necessary improvements in order to ensure that we always offer you the highest quality service for your journeys.

Summer works are back in Barcelona, and improvement work is once again being carried out on the metro. We carry out these actions during holiday periods to make the most of the reduction in the number of journeys made and in work activities. This is why most of the actions to improve public spaces, infrastructures and services are carried out in summer.

In order to provide you with a metro service of the highest quality and efficiency, it is necessary to invest and undertake works to improve infrastructure and guarantee the quality of your journeys. With these actions we aim to improve the reliability of our lines, reduce the number of incidents, and therefore improve the service we offer.

We would like to thank you for your patience during the periods of disruption and explain the benefits to be gained when the works are complete:

  • The vibration problems that affect a number of sectors will be solved.
  • There will be improvements in terms of the comfort and quality of your journeys thanks to the new renovated tracks.
  • Accessibility will be improved.
  • Maintenance will be more effective.
