Barcelona celebrates the centenary of the launch of the Gran Metro, the city's first metro line.

This year, the city is celebrating. A century ago, on December 30, 1924, the first train of the Barcelona metro network departed from the Lesseps station heading to Plaça Catalunya.

Since then, the city's subway has grown and adapted to modern times, becoming a global reference in various areas such as accessibility, sustainability, and cutting-edge technology.

At TMB, we want to invite all citizens to enjoy the centenary of the metro, which is why we present a program with activities and spaces for everyone: for users, workers, those nostalgic and those looking to the future, for athletes, the compassionate, music lovers, railway enthusiasts, historians, musicians, children, those who have already left their mark, and those who plan to do so in the future... For everyone.

The celebration will take place from the end of 2024 until December 30, 2025.
